I believe that too often, we treat the world around us like it is encased in glass: to be seen, but never to be touched. I believe that every child should be encouraged to do more than just look through a window at the outside world. Without Windows is an education blog dedicated to helping students, parents, and teachers feel connected to a world that is getting smaller with each passing day. It is a journal of my experiences teaching in a classroom inspired by, derived from, and supremely subject to the forces of nature. It is a place for deep thought, intense expression, and speculation about the educational trends of today, and what tomorrow holds for a generation that has lost sight of what it means to a growing, feeling, living thing.
Take a breath, stay a while, and lose yourself in the leaves.
